I Love Boobies has increasingly become a saying seen on many bracelets this past year all over the country. You see the bracelets in many different colors such as pink, bright green, blue, and purple. Some even have other sayings such as “Love Your Boobies” or “Check Yourself”. It has seem this bracelets have mad quite a stir as to what the message is behind these bracelets and why youth are wearing them. These bracelets are made by the Keep A Breast foundation and the money made from these bracelets goes to the foundation
Keep - A - Breast is non-profit organization founded by Shaney jo Darden and Mona Mukheriea-Gehrig. It is a foundation that is that is dedicated to reaching out to youth about early prevention, detection, and support about breast cancer. They do this by reaching youth at things such as art events, concerts and festivals, and educational programs so that youth can take the information to make decisions that will have a positive effect on their health. They don’t only have bracelets, they also have t-shirts, stickers, lanyards, hats, and bags that you can get to help spread the word.
They have a traveling tour bus that goes on different tours with different bands or festivals to educate the youth at these concerts about how they can get involved and spread awareness. They are currently on the Zumiez Couch Tour, and have been on the Dirty Work Tour, Journey’s Back Yard BBQ Tour, and the Willie Nelson Country Throw Down Tour. Later this summer they will have booths set up and the Vans Warped Tour. So be sure to check out their booth if you see them at any of your summer and future concerts.
