This Song Will Be My Summer

I think we can all agree that The Summer Set is just one of those bands that has gotten better over time. By that I mean that this is a band that I am legit growing up with during my young adult years.

Their first album, Love Like This, came out my freshman year of college. The album was fun, spunky party anthem laced and really captured the spirit of a kid going off into the "real world" as an adult for the first time.

Their second album Everything's Fine showed a more grown up approach in their song writing. Where the first album was fun and party-like their sophomore album was filled with heart break and a little sadness.

So far I've heard "Fuck You Over," "Boomerang," "Maybe Tonight," and "Lightning in a Bottle" off their up coming album Legendary. This album is the perfect mix of their first two albums. There's one part funny, sassy energy from LLT and then there's one part a more mature take on youth a la EF from their second album.

In less than a week we'll be able to jam to the whole album. For now here's the recently released lyric video for "Lightning In A Bottle." Let us know what you think about the song in the comments.

New Music Video: Demi Lovato Heart Attack

Yesterday on E! News Demi Lovato premiered her new music video for "Heart Attack." The single is the first off her upcoming release Demi.

The video features a softer white image of Demi covering herself in black paint while singing along with a contrasting darker image of Demi dressed in all black with dark makeup where she is performing the song along with a band.

Check out the video here and let us know what you think.

Will this song be your summer jam or is there something else burning up your playlist?

New Lyric Video Demi Lovato "Heart Attack"

This past friday Demi opened March with a new lyric video for her new song "Heart Attack," which is already a killer hit.

While the song doesn't necessarily show off Demi's vocal range like some of her previous songs the song is catchy, fun, and so relatable. Maybe this will be the song to finally give Demi the mainstream radio success she has always deserved.

Check out the lyric video below and let me know what you think about her new single.

Demi Lovato Returns to the Stage in Orlando, FL

This video isn't much in length or content, but for Lovatics everywhere this is proof that Demi is in fact back in concert performing mode. Over the weekend Ms. Lovato played a show in Orlando, Florida fresh off the release of her brand new single "Heart Attack." Hopefully this string of a few shows is just a teaser for what Demi fans can expect in the upcoming months.

New Track by Amaranthe

If you need a new band to check out this week I have an excellent option for you.

Amaranthe is a Swedish/Danish modern metal sextet that has a new album dropping on March 24th 2013.

Their track "The Nexus," off the forth coming album, is already gaining popularity on the interwebs with 916,000 views on Vevo. Check out the video below and let us know what you think.

And check out their website to listen to a stream of "Mechanical Illusion," another track off the band's forthcoming album.

Guitarist Olof Mörck said of the track, “To give a second taster of The Nexus is
truly exciting! The first single and title track showed a familiar, yet amped-up Amaranthe‘Mechanical Illusion’ is quite different from what people have heard from us so far. Probably the heaviest track yet, a dystopian vision steeped in a darkened futuristic atmosphere, combined with a mega-catchy chorus that is likely to ring in your head for days. Brace yourselves, the illusion is upon us!”

For more information on the band visit their website or visit them on Facebook
